Hello again, everyone. Today finds us with a new book review and this time Riley Unlikely: With Simple Childlike Faith, Amazing Things Can Happen, by
Riley Unlikely is the inspiring story of Riley Banks, who as a child first traveled to Kenya and has been back every year since bringing backpacks of needed supplies for young girls, developing friendships, and is currently raising money to build a learning complex in Kibwezi, Kenya for these same young women in need.
The impact of this story is compounded, as at age sixteen the author learns that, because of a rare medical condition, she would never be able to have her own children. Devastating news to most young women, especially those who love children and have always dreamed of having their own family. But Riley’s response was: Kenya has given me a thousand children and she now considers herself a mother or many and intends to create a life of service and gratitude on their behalf.
This is an amazing poignant and needed story during this season of gratitude each fall, and for this reason I hardheartedly recommend this book to women of all ages.
This book is currently available in hardcover and audio book format for under $16.00 from Amazon.com, and can be found here.
