Punderdome: A Card Game for Pun Lovers Review

Hello again, everyone. Today I’m reviewing the Punderdome: A Card Game for Pun Lovers

So, why this game? Well, as a family we enjoy a weekly game night. This past week we played Punderdome: A Card Game for Pun Lovers. What was fun about this game is that is was part game, part conversation starter; this fits in well with casual parties, get-togethers, and relaxing family nights at home. This is not a game of ceremony, but laughs all around, per se! Also, you don’t need to be a pun master to master Punderdome. The goal of the game is to jokingly make bad jokes and humor the other players. This game is about having fun along the way!

To play, your first player draws two prompt cards from the deck and then reads the prompts to the rest of the group, who have 90 seconds to create a single pun that combines the two previous prompts. That’s it!

When time is up, pun makers share their puns with the prompter, who awards the prompt cards to the player whose pun he or she likes best. The winner then draws the next pair of prompt cards and the process repeats. Players win by obtaining 10 pairs of cards.

The game took us an hour to play and everyone loved it!

Please note, each boxed set comes with:

  • 200 double-sided cards (100 White and 100 Green)
  •  2 Mystery Envelopes
  • 2 (80-page) pads for drafting puns
  • 1 instruction card
  • 1 pun example card
  • A stu-PUN-dous time for 3 or more player games

All-in-all, this game was a winner! We loved it! To find out more about this game, click here!

Enjoy,

Nicole
