Book Review: The Life Changing Magic 3-Year Journal, by Marie Kondo

Hello again, savvy savers! Today finds us with a new book review, and this time the “Life Changing Magic 3-Year Journal,” by master organizer Marie Kondo.

This journal is the continuation of Kondo’s 2012 international best seller, “The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up.” The journal, which features heavy-weight card stock and ribbon book mark, seeks users to expand upon the demonstrated effectiveness of the magic of changing your life, when surrounded yourself with things that “spark joy.”

In this 3-year journal, Kondo encourages her fans to use the “spark joy” principle to not only to one’s home, business, and belongings, but also one’s inter-personal relationships and experiences. The journal utilizes daily prompts like: “Does it spark joy?,” “Identify what is truly precious,” and “Pursue ultimate simplicity.”

Also worth noting, the journal doubles as both gratitude and happiness journals too; the journal seeks to focus the user on moving forward from clean minds and spaces, to a focus on the things that create a joyful life in the years ahead.

This journal is use-able, workable, and will be a go-to for myself in the years ahead.
