Book Review: Strong and Kind And Other Important Character Traits Your Child Needs to Succeed By Korie Robertson, with Chrys Howard. Contributions by Willie Robertson

Hello again, savvy savers! Today finds us with a new book review, and this time it’s Strong and Kind And Other Important Character Traits Your Child Needs to Succeed By Korie Robertson, with Chrys Howard; contributions by Willie Robertson.

When I heard that Korie Robertson, wife to Willie of Duck Dynasty, had a new book coming out, I jumped at the chance to review it. This is a read about Korie’s heritage and how she and Willie have raised their children. And feature the down-to-earth language in the book. It was a pretty quick read. Now, the implementing won’t be quite as easy. Korie asks her readers to choose two character traits we want for our children. I admit I’m still thinking and praying about which two are most important to me. Robertson also explores key traits and what they truly look like in action, asks readers to select the two traits that they hope to see most in their children, and shares hands-on ways for nurturing strength of character. Written with her mother Chrys Howard and featuring stories and wisdom from husband Willie, STRONG and KIND cuts through the contemporary cacophony of parenting manuals to rediscover, unfold, and embrace the enduring wisdom that has guided the best parents for centuries.
