Book Review: Thankful, by Eileen Spinelli

Hello again, savvy savers! Today finds us with a new book review, and this time its Thankful, by Eileen Spinelli .

With fall just a few short weeks away, I am always on the find for season-canted, family-appropriate book, and this book filled the bill! To begin, if for no other reason that this books fun, colorful, and even humorous illustrations, this book would be a keeper. But this books timeless depictions of a little girl and her younger brother playing dress-up together remind me of my childhood as well.

The book described the various seasons of life people face- childhood, academics, employment, and raising families. As each role is preformed the children share why they would be thankful to fill the roles of their characterizations. This book celebrates being thankful as a precocious way to start a conversation with our kids about being thankful and fostering a thankful attitude!  I am always looking for books like this around Thanksgiving time, and this one will be a wonderfully inspiring book to add to our collection.  I anticipate reading it not just at Thanksgiving time but also throughout the entire year.

This book is awesome! To find out more about this book, click here!
