Serrano Salsa by SalsaCrazy Review

Hello again, savvy savers! Today finds us with a new review, and this time the Serrano Salsa by SalsaCrazy Review. One of my favorite snacks is tortilla chips and salsa, but finding a good salsa can be a little difficult, especially if you live in a small town like I do. Plus, I don’t care for most of the major brands as the ingredients taste artificial, nor too sweet.

I was sent a 16 fl. oz. jar of Serrano Salsa by SalsaCrazy. Serrano is a chili pepper that originates from the Mexican states of Puebla and Hidalgo. When eaten raw, these peppers are slightly hotter than the jalapeño pepper. It is mostly used in salsa and chili recipes.

This jar of Serrano Salsa has 10 calories per serving (2 tsp) with 112mg of sodium and 1g of sugar.

The ingredients include:

  • Tomatoes
  • Green Chiles
  • Corn
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Vinegar
  • Serrano & Red Habanero Chile Peppers
  • Fresh Lime
  • Salt
  • Chipotle Chile Pepper
  • Red Bell Pepper
  • Sugar
While the Serrano Salsa is milder than the SalsaCrazy‘s Habanero Salsa, it still has a little kick to it. I like the fact that the ingredients are more organic than other brands and that there are no preservatives! It almost tastes like the homemade salsa from my childhood. Overall, the Serrano Salsa by SalsaCrazy is one of the best salsas I have ever eaten.

To purchase the salsa on Amazon.com. Enjoy!
