Book Review: Dear Son: A Father’s Advice on Being a Man, by David Bruskas

Hello again, savvy savers! Today finds us with a new book review, and this time it’s Dear Son: A Father’s Advice on Being a Man, by David Bruskas

To begin, this is a book for the truly open-hearted.  Author Dave Bruskas’ heart is laid open in this foundation seeking book for all men. The author speaks to men, especially fathers, with his story of the tragic loss of his son in infancy, and the subsequent blessing that unfolded in his life thereafter; Bruskas uses vividly depicted life lessons, his feelings as to how God used this life-altering experience, to bring others to his ministry. Bruskas’ target audience is mostly young men who are just starting out their adult lives, but this book should inspire any man to become a more godly person of influence in a challenging culture. I would also recommend this book for mothers seeking a greater understanding, in the ideas of bringing up young men in the body of the church.

While new trails are not blazed in this edition, it’s a deeply personal communication of what is needed to challenge the upcoming generation of young men to seek higher ways in their own lives.
